All of us at Morrison Education Center are dedicated to seeing our students become successful in the dental field. We each stay up to date with the constant changes in our industry and learning how to make the dental experience an enjoyable one for all involved, while keeping the patient our number one concern.

Dr. Robert F. Morrison
Owner and Founder

Morrison Education Center was founded in 2012 by Dr. Robert F. Morrison, his wife, Alison, and their daughter-in-law, Becky, in Williamsburg, VA. Dr. Morrison has always had a strong passion for education and providing students with the opportunity to succeed. Dr. Morrison and the staff at MEC strongly believe in giving back to their community and look forward to meeting all future MEC students. Dr. Morrison is married to Alison, who is the CFO of Morrison Dental Group They have two sons: Frank, a Lieutenant commander in the United States Coast Guard; Alex, who is the Chief Compliance Office and Director of Logistics at Morrison Dental Group. In his spare time, Dr. Morrison is a dedicated family man, and enjoys fishing on the Chesapeake bay, as well as kayaking, and restoring British MG cars. Dr. Morrison is very active within the dental community and previously service as the Chairman of the TNCC Dental Hygiene Advisory Board.

Alison Morrison
Owner and Founder
Alison Morrison is the Director of Education for MEC. She also serves as the Chief Operations Officer Chief Operations Officer for Morrison Dental Group and is in charge of strategic planning and overall management of the Morrison Dental Group practices and affiliated corporations under the Morrison name. Alison co-founded MEC with Dr. Morrison and their daughter-in-law, Becky in 2012. Having multiple degrees, Alison has a love for education and has taught business courses as an adjunct professor. She enjoys seeing future dental assistants learn and grow during the 11 week course. In her free time, Alison enjoys gardening, cooking and traveling with her family.
Becky Morrison
Program Director
Becky Morrison is the Morrison Education Center Program Director and started the program with Dr. Morrison and Alison. Becky began working in the dental field in 2006 on the clinic floor, as a Dental Assistant. She now serves as the Chief Marketing Officer for Morrison Dental Group. She strongly believes in learning through hands-on practice and enjoys seeing the students develop a passion for the dental field. Since MEC’s inception in 2012, Becky has worked to make the program the best it can be, improving on the students’ experience and hands-on learning opportunities with each passing term. In her spare time, Becky enjoys visiting new places and relaxing at the beach with her husband and son.
Katie Wilson
Program Administrator
Katie grew up in Roanoke, Virginia and relocated to the Williamsburg area in 2016 after getting married to her husband, Tim. She currently works for Morrison Dental Group as the Assistant Marketing Director and as the Program Administrator for Morrison Education Center. Katie’s favorite part of working with Morrison Education Center is being able to build relationships with each student. She enjoys watching our students succeed and loves to challenge them to do their best throughout our program. Katie is also our American Heart Association certified CPR Instructor. In her spare time, Katie and her husband love to play with their pit bull, Fonzie, host game nights with friends, and vacation on Ocracoke Island.
Cindy Byrd
Instructor
Cindy has experienced many different facets of the dental office over the years, as a hygiene assistant, front desk administrator, insurance coordinator and currently handles all the Billing and IT Services for Morrison Dental Group. Cindy began teaching with us in the Summer of 2013 and has really enjoyed working with students and watching them apply what they have learned. On a hot Summer day, you will be sure to find Cindy relaxing by the pool with her family. Also, she loves SpongeBob Squarepants, and some might even say they have the same laugh!
Priscilla Hansen
Instructor
Priscilla Hansen spent many years living in Pennsylvania but moved to Williamsburg when her husband, Howard, was stationed at Ft. Eustis. They loved the area and decided to stay and raise their daughter Abigail here. Priscilla has a background in HR but has been working in the dental admin world since 2013. She most enjoys teaching because she loves being able to watch students grow in their careers and make themselves more marketable to future employers. Her door is open to any current or previous student who wants to work on their resume or interview skills, or just pick her brain! In her spare time, Priscilla volunteers as much as possible with Girl Scouts, Give Kids a Smile, Smiles for Heroes, etc. She also loves spending time with her family as much as possible.
Maria Dawson
Instructor
Maria comes from a long family line involved in dentistry. Her grandfather, Dr. Gregorio Foncseca, was the president of the Dental Federation of Central America and Panama. Dentistry has been a passion of hers since childhood. Maria attended a two-year course in Dental Arts at Chantilly Academy, then went to ODU to refine her artistic skills in dentistry. Maria loves to empathetically engage with patients and teach them the importance of their smile. She believes the job of a dental assistant is not to judge, but to lift the fallen, restore the broken, and heal the hurting. She hopes to share with students what 22 years of dentistry has taught her. In her spare time, you can find Maria with her dogs, in her garden, on her trike rolling to the beach or at a good concert with her husband.
Charman Payne
Instructor
Charman has spent the majority of her career as a dental assistant. After being an employee for Morrison Dental Group for many years and working with MEC interns, she saw how eager the students were to learn. Charman wanted to teach the interns what she has learned from past experience and help them on their journey as they navigate the dental profession. Charman loves dental assisting because she enjoys helping patients. She also enjoys the fun that she has with her coworkers. She loves being an instructor at MEC because she likes the student interaction and being able to make an impact on their future in the dental profession. In her spare time, Charman enjoys visiting her daughter, reading a good book, and going out on their boat with her husband. Charman has two cats that she loves to snuggle up with at the end of the day.
Anthony Collazo
Instructor
Anthony was first introduced to the dental field almost 10 years ago. He was hired at a dental office in Middletown, NY as a hygiene assistant, but soon moved over to the doctor’s side to explore the field more. Anthony is passionate about the dental field because he enjoys giving patients back their confidence and teaching them the dos and don’ts of caring for their teeth. He loves educating new students to help them build confidence to go out into the world and be the next generation of great dental assistants. He hopes every student understands that even the best dental assistant was a beginner at some point. He also strives to help students achieve the best versions of themselves. This way, they will be comfortable with their abilities whether they’re with patients or their CEO. In his spare time, you can find Anthony traveling back home to New York, spending time with his wife and two kids, riding his motorcycle, or building race cars.
