While students complete lab and lecture portions of our course, we believe the “ah-ha” moments of learning come through hands-on experience.  All students complete a minimum of 88 internship hours (8 hours per week) in our Morrison Dental Group Offices.

MEC was founded in 2012 by Dr. Robert Morrison, Alison Morrison and Becky Morrison. We have a passion for dentistry and noticed a great need in our area for an effective, short-term program to help train the next generation of Dental Assistants. Lectures and textbooks are great, but nothing beats the real-world, hands-on experience that our students receive. Students complete a minimum of 88 internship hours, working alongside our dental professionals during normal business hours. In addition, MEC provides students with job placement assistance including resume and cover letter writing and interviewing practice. These services are available to current students and our alumni. We also have a private online Alumni Networking forum for our current students and alumni to network and post job openings.
You must be 18 years of age and have completed high school or a high school equivalent such as a GED or Homeschool program. MEC will require official proof of completion before you are eligible to enroll in our program.
